DuWop

DuWop is a 16 years old who loves sports and hanging out with his friends. He is a trend-setter who is big on grooming and fashion. His mom is a Cosmetic Chemist and his dad owns a Barbershop. DuWop is a Junior at Thomas S.T.E.M. Academy, and is the president of “The Debonair Boys Fellowship®” When possible, DuWop enjoys assisting his mom in the lab, and plans on being a business owner just like his dad.

Shorty

Shorty is a 17 years old who loves all things beauty. Her mom is a beauty educator, and Shorty claims that she gets her style and love for all things beauty from her. As a senior at Thomas S.T.E.M. Academy, Shorty is the president of the “Junior Chemists Club,” and “Black Youth in Beauty Science and Business Innovations®” Shorty assists her mom with educating young girls and aspires to be a Cosmetic Chemist. Shorty plans on launching her 1st product in the near future.

So, How did They Meet?

One afternoon Shorty approached DuWop with a really cool idea. Her idea was for the two of them to combine their beauty and grooming knowledge to create a fun space where girls and boys from all over, can learn about beauty and grooming. DuWop loved the idea, and saw how they both could help so many kids. They brought the idea to their parents, and each parent loved it. The following day the parents meet and spoke the about the idea, deciding to create a community kids event that not only taught personal appearance but also personal development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and team building..

They all decided to call this event, The Shorty and DuWop Kids Beauty and Grooming Symposium.
